Entrepreneur and tech influencer Alfonso Cobo, co-founder of Unfold and Hypelist, is about to put his gut-renovated Tribeca loft on the market for $6.99 million.
The sleek duplex is at 415 Washington St., better known as Fairchild.
It comes with two terraces, a fireplace, dramatic 21-foot-high ceilings and double-height arched windows.
Cobo made his name co-founding Unfold, a mobile app that helps users create Instagram stories popularized by celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus; Unfold also partnered with Equinox and Tommy Hilfiger.
By 2019, Squarespace bought the app, which had grown to 16 million users.
Trained as an architect, the Spanish-born entrepreneur worked with interior designer Helena Clunies-Ross to revamp the space, whose images look straight out of a design magazine.
That said, it was featured in Architectural Digest and practically screams “quiet luxury.”
Cobo paid $4.6 million for the apartment in 2022 — 8% above the asking price, which was $4.25 million — and then invested in reno guts.
The house is currently set up as a one-bedroom bachelor pad — complete with a custom couch where friends come to hang out and play video games, Cobo explained in his YouTube video home tour. However, the loft can also be returned to its previous three-bedroom, three-bathroom layout.
Soothing tones and details create a Zen-like break from the city. The neutral color scheme is soothing, while the dark gray painted ceilings bring a sense of peace, Cobo said.
The home opens from a keyed elevator to a great room with a 16-foot olive tree, a 20-foot bronze bookcase, a fireplace, and double-height arched windows with American white oak stained screens.
There’s a black oak column that anchors the chef’s kitchen, with marble countertops and whitewashed walls along with a hidden pantry for under-stairs storage.
The lower level also features a study with a bookcase and custom walnut workstation, silk wallpaper, a custom Helena Clunies-Ross Design sofa, walk-in closets, and a terrace with planters.
The upper level boasts the master suite with an oversized bedroom, a boutique-like walk-in closet, a private terrace and a spa-like bathroom. The loft comes with a washer/dryer, separate storage and light oak floors.
It’s all in a former 19th century warehouse, with porters, a super flat, bike room and storage.
The listing agents are Brandon and Mallory Bogard of Serhant.
